MORE Upcoming Co-op Games To Check Out!!
Multiplayer games (or “friendslop”, depending on who you ask) have been everywhere lately. They’re an amazing way to bond with friends, coworkers, or family, but they also tend to reveal just how good (or bad) everyone is at communicating and working as a team. Even so, co‑op games continue to be one of the more popular genres in indie gaming, thanks to their accessibility and the fact that players of all ages can jump in and play together.
Before you continue reading, have you checked the ones mentioned by Morzeey back in March? Even though March doesn’t feel that long ago, new co‑op games have been popping up left and right since then – and in many more formats than just ‘trials with friends’. So, here are 5 upcoming co-op games you should add to your wishlist!
We Are So Cooked
ETA 2026 - Have you ever looked at your friend group and wondered, “Yeah… which one of us would go to jail first?”
We Are So Cooked is a chaotic co‑op game built around that exact thought. In this game, you “accidentally” killed someone and your group has to work together to get rid of the evidence by carrying the body to the exit. But with the world watching and the physics either being a nightmare or a blessing in disguise, everything becomes so much harder.
Witchspire
Early Access June 10th, 2026 - Witchspire is an open world survival craft centered around building your sanctuary with magic. As a witch, you won’t need to exhaust yourself with tedious manual labor like chopping trees or mining stone; magic will do the heavy lifting for you. You’ll also wield a variety of spells you can use in combat, fly across the open world with a broom, and bond with adorable familiars!
Spook-A-Boo
Demo Available - A playful spin on Ghostbusters, Spook-A-Boo is a physics-based ghost hunting game where your objective is to capture ghosts going rampant across the galaxy. The game features a wide range of levels, each with its own challenges and difficulty, along with character customization and a variety of ghosts to deal with. Some are trickier to capture than others, and the physics‑driven gameplay means things don’t always go according to plan. Environmental obstacles also force your team to stay aware of your surroundings, making coordination between players extremely important.
Whisper Mountain Outbreak
Early Access Available - Whisper Mountain Outbreak is an online co-op survival horror game where you and your friends find a way to get out of the cursed, fog-covered Mount Bisik. To make it out alive, your team will need to manage resources carefully, solve environmental puzzles, and craft healing items or weapons along the way.The in-game proximity chat adds extra flavor (or tension) to coordination, and with a Friend’s Pass available, it’s easy to experience the horror together.
Lost Castle 2
Early Access Available - Lost Castle 2 is a beat 'em up roguelite where you play as a treasure hunter on an adventure to uncover lost riches hidden deep in the dungeons. Along the way, you’ll encounter a wide range of enemies and bosses, with plenty of weapons and equipment to experiment with, each offering different skills and playstyles. While it’s better to experience the game in co-op, you can also play solo or recruit an NPC to help you out in the dungeons!
That’s all for now! I’m sure there are plenty of other amazing upcoming co-op games I didn’t get to mention, so feel free to share which ones you’re looking forward to the most in the comments below!
