Ehh, just claimed one of those Karma: Dark World keys, but once i redeemed it said it was just a demo key! Was there a mistake, or are closed beta keys and demo keys synonymous now?
Not complaining btw (after all it's a free game), just saying, if it actually is just a demo key it aint much of an exclusive prize, is it? Pretty much every new game nowadays comes out with a free demo right before it releases!

A closed demo is one that will delete from your account when over. Its ment to play and provide feedback. Its not a general demo. I leave all those unless I have an interest in it and I'm willing to provide feedback.

Beta doesn't mean the full game. It's essentially a developing demo. It might be removed anyway, but sometimes you do get a full game. No guarantee, but don't expect much.

I think the issue the OP is referring to is the fact that the words "beta" and "demo" are being used interchangibly as if they are the same word causing confusion. Unclear whether or not the key is permanent or not until you redeem it.

@BlazerKnight It's not that deep. It's not a mystery. The key is clearly being used interchangeably as a beta key. Ironically, a beta key actually already exists, so it's kind of strange how the demo key is used for distribution instead.
