Is it intended that the daily artifact (eye of the night?) doesn't earn the remaining arp on a day it's equipped later? Noticing this every time that if it hits 5 arp for that day, then equip a +daily, it never earns the remaining arp. Is this a bug?

No bug. If you reach the base 5 ARP for the daily ToS without equipping a ToS artifact, then the system closes that quest and adds the reward in your ARP Log.

but here's the thing. if you load site late and dont reach max for the day, you still get the points for that day. why does that work and not this?

@StellarGamer - It's 1 ARP for 5 minutes. If you visit very late and only put in 12 minutes for ToS before midnight UTC, then the system will later award 2 ARP for ToS.

Dang, I just noticed you had this ToS artifact for a year, so you must have missed out on a lot of ARP. 😓

ToS is delivered in a block once you hit the max cap. So you need to equip the artifact that raises that cap, before you get that day's payload or else you miss out. Not a bug, same rule as for every other artifact except twitch!

As FPS said, if you don't hit the max, you then get whatever you did manage to earn at the end of the day, and so then if you had the arti equipped, it could be more than the default 5. But it means you didn't get the day's max possible.

the thing is twitch artifacts increase the cap AND you can earn more! i do it all the time after quest day, i earn 15 cap and then equip after the 24 mark to earn even more. but site stops and ignores cap increase. can't they fix this?

Just don't hit the 5ARP cap before equipping the ToS artifact. Works better this way instead of like the Twitch artifacts anyway, since you can benefit from +% to ARP gained artifacts if ToS is awarded in one lump sum.

Like the Zorathian set bonus, which the Arches/Eye of the Night artifact is part of.
