Attention, Alien Arena! There's an unfortunate ongoing cyber situation that involves potential malicious attacks across numerous devices and websites requiring PHP on the Internet! Don't ignore this forewarning, many sites have decided to go on lockdown to update certificates and prevent attacks that effectively make everyone and everything vulnerable! Update your browsers and phone, sparingly use the Internet, don't be fooled by spoofed addresses, and stay updated in case things change. This isn't a drill!

This is a bit of a stretch. What actually happened was that someone got lazy with their code and it was easy to crack. Not a global problem. Just carelessness. PHP has less to do with it. PHP is just HTML with benefits.

<mention>TurdFerguson87</mention> It's not "a bit of a stretch" when it could easily worsen beyond what's already happening. Everyone who isn't associated with the problem should know about this and take action before it's too late. This is merely the start.

With the eMudhra CA thing yesterday that's two huge issues in just two days. The PHP issue is being dubbed "PHP2Shell" if anyone wants to read about it, it allows unauthenticated root access to a server. ~70% of servers run PHP

<mention>VenturousGamer</mention> it actually is a stretch. Has nothing to do with PHP itself. It was because someone lazily set up a really easy key that someone would've been able to bruteforce in like 5 tries. Like 12345, the combination of your luggage.

<mention>VenturousGamer</mention> Also, you can just basically write simple HTML code in a PHP document for a fraction of the file size. It's not a complicated thing. This has to do with something else that was coded into the document. Easy to pentest.

I'm still reading the comments and clearly see trying to forewarn certain "intellects" was a mistake. There's been more breaches, eMudhra exited SSL/TLS, and there could be a total lockdown since this was posted. Brace for impact, buffoons!

<mention>Indig0_ASH</mention> I mean, someone wouldn't know whether or not there's websites that still rely on it even knowing these risks if they're oblivious. Sure, I haven't discussed that but it's irrelevant to the topic. Thanks for sharing your opinion!
