Despite all of Lynch's weird additions, and it's, shall we say, less than faithful adaptation of the source material, I actually really love that version - especially the soundtrack - but I'm willing to give this a chance, even if it doesn't excite me. Personally, I'd rather see someone like HBO, Netflix, or possibly even Amazon turn the books into a series. I feel like the material would greatly benefit from having breathing room beyond a 2-3 hour movie.
