Horizon: Zero Dawn Launched In PC (Release Date)
What is Horizon: Zero Dawn's PC release date?
We don't know a firm date just yet, but Sony has said that the game is planned for summer 2020 on PC. Its original PS4 launch was over two years ago in February 2017.
In the interview where Hulst confirmed HZD for PC, he said that we can expect to hear more from Guerilla Games directly "pretty soon."
Horizon: Zero Dawn's Steam store page is already up
The early rumors about Horizon: Zero Dawn on PC indicated that it might come to both the Steam and Epic stores when it arrives. HZD's Steam page went live the same day that we got confirmation that it's really really coming to PC. No sign of an Epic store page just yet though.
For comparison, Death Stranding (a Sony-published PS4 game) is coming to both Steam and Epic Games Store sometime in Summer 2020. 505 Games is publishing Death Stranding's PC port, not Sony, but the strategy could inform how Sony approaches releases for its own games in the future. Coincidentally, Death Stranding runs on Decima, the custom engine built by Guerilla Games for Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Will there be new PC-focused features?
Horizon: Zero Dawn's Steam page is still pretty sparse. It doesn't yet have system requirements listed or any mention of PC-specific features. We imagine there will likely be some of the usual suspects: higher frame rates, higher resolutions, and key rebinding.
