Yes, for example the lowest of the 3 could be anything..... as long as you're in the top 3 highest offers the game is yours. My advice is, to keep an eye on the bets if you see a game you like. You can also check the bets that were made on previous games (the top 3 only) so you can see what difference there can be in bets. That's how I saw that my bet could've been way lower than I actually placed and still get the game. But since you can only see the latest placed bet it's always still a gamble.

Really? With the betting thing or also before that was set in place? 7 games is really nice! I actually spend a month worth on coins to be able to get the game I wanted (1400) so I only got one.... Now i'm waiting for a game I really like to spend it all again xD. 
But if you go for less popular games you could get more for your points sometimes hence more games. You want to share the games you got?

Yeah I choosed less popular games, two of them  was received before the rule change and the others with the bet thing. The first in the image is in the right side and the one in left is the last, I'm very satisfacted with them! If I do it right you can see a image down:
