Domestic cars are dangerous?

Maybe I'm just out of the loop, but what kinds of vehicles do you guys prefer? There seems to constantly be recalls on cars made here in NA like GM/Chevy but I rarely hear anything from asian vehicle makers like toyota or Hyundai.

Don't forget about the air bag recall. I've gotten one twice on my Honda but i wouldn't trade it for a domestic car either.

Lot of so-called foreign manufacturers are located here.  Toyota has a car manufacturing plant in the US.  BMW also.  I think GM is mostly in Canada now and the parts come from all over.

Most makers have some issues depends on how bad and how its handled. For safety nothing beats a german car or subaru imo

TOYOTA had a problem with airbags deploying and a metal piece was flying and killing the driver. Takata air bags to be exact. They also had an issue with the brake pedal sticking in the cockpit. Now GM is having the airbag recall too.

There are as many recalls on foreign produce vehicle as American made.  They all have had their issues over time.
