ESL Cologne 2018: Natus Vincere Walk Away with the Trophy, and a Thank-You to Alienware Fans

  • 1020

16 teams came together earlier this month to compete for a prize pool of $300,000 in Cologne, Germany. The fifth year of the event, tensions were high and fans were excited to witness the action and to see if their team came out on top.

With Alienware as the ESL One hardware sponsor for 2018, the teams were eyeing up their opponents through Alienware monitors and enjoying the power of the Aurora system, while the hosts commented on the action with the help of their Alienware laptops, keeping fans clued in both online and at the event!

While the action was happening in the arena, Alienware were hosting a booth just outside, greeting fans with an array of powerful systems to try out and enjoy some great games on. Alienware banners were also being handed out for fans to write messages on, that went down a treat and were used plenty!

Alienware also showed off the latest i9 processors in Alienware laptops, as well as the capabilities of the new Alienware headsets.

After the weekend of Counter-Strike carnage had ended, and the dust had settled, only one team was left standing: Natus Vincere. Walking away with $125,000, they beat team BIG 3-1 to be crowned the 2018 ESL One Cologne winners.

Congratulations to Natus Vincere for the win! Such fantastic esports events wouldn’t be possible without passionate fans, and many of you stopped by the booth to pick up banners, enjoy great games, and great systems. Thank you for making events like these so much fun, and Alienware look forward to seeing you at the next event very soon!
