The new thing in 2018 is definitely release of unfinished Early Access games trying to raise interest in them. This year, DayZ, Rust, The Forest and many others, including also H1Z1, a game which was among the first to introduce the battle royale genre. The game originally came out in early 2015, later it was divided into two projects and twice changed its name. It is now finally "completed", that is it came out of Early Access in PC version.

On the occasion of the release, it was introduced a new mode called auto royale behind which, is exactly what you would expect from that name - battle with cars. There will be 30 teams in this mode, while scattered across the map will be ramps, skating rinks and various other accelerations. In addition to this add-on to the completed version of the game, we've got also a new user interface.

Wish DayZ was also somewhere near leaving EA...

More playmodes can't be bad and at least it's something new and they probably worked a long time on this...so at least it got a big update for it's release...PUBG was just pushed for additional pre-christmas sales.

Anyway...not my type of games. :D
