A Daily Dose of Metal

Metal music is probably the one thing I enjoy more then gaming, and I know there are some members on these forums that appreciate metal so... I'll do something I also love doing, and that's sharing some glorious music. My plan is to share a video from a new band everyday, in hopes of maybe helping fellow metal lovers find new bands they'll love, or remind them of bands they haven't bothered with in awhile. In addition, I encourage others to share some of their favorites, because although I listen to hundreds of bands (not an exaggeration), you may still introduce me or others to something fantastic.

All genres of metal are welcome, but please try and limit it to one song post per day.

Update:

Bands Shared So Far = 327

If you're into metal music covers for games, anime, etc etc. Be sure to check out Freaky9500's thread and maybe share some tunes.

Good Metal Covers of general things (Anime / Games / Official Musics)

Update (May 8th, 2018): I won't be posting daily now as the thread has lost some traction and I don't want to just be bumping my thread endlessly, so... I'll keep an eye out, and when others share some music, I'll share some music. That said, thanks to everyone who has taken part so far, lots of great links and actually found a nice selection of new bands to add to the massive list I already have. Hope to hear more.

Okay, for my first post, here's two video's from a newly discovered band that recently got their start through crowd funding. They're exceptionally talented, with a diverse album spawning across various styles and genres of metal. The vocalist has great range in vocals, mixing up her style across songs which is nice.

Interesting thread. I usually consult the metal bible to discover new groups:  Encyclopaedia Metallum

Yah, useful site, and people on the forums can be handy. I've popped in once or twice for recommendations. Also, don't forget sites like...

http://www.darklyrics.com/

If you ever need to find lyrics you may not be able to make out, or...

For info on upcoming albums.

Here's something you'll like:

Also this song. Gojira is an awesome band. I saw them live last year (or was it 2 years ago?) and it was one of the best concerts i've ever been to, and I've been to many.

My internet is better than yours.

Can't go wrong with Gojira, and that so happens to be the album I got into them with. Saw Vacuity vid on youtube one day way back, and was hooked. Also never heard of that site, will have to check it out further later, thanks.

Now my vid for today, something on a lighter note, with a video for the weebs?

Edit: Seems Suli is right, my vid vanished. So there is a link until the issue resolves itself and I can embed it again.

Anyone into metal should listen to Sabaton:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrJAwCBbnuc (direct link since the site is bugged and the direct youtube video below will disappear after the next visit on this thread)

I find it very interesting on how thematic their songs are based on historical battles. I myself am not too hot over metal, but i really enjoy listening to Sabaton.

Sabaton rules!  If you like historical themed music, you can find a lot of good metal bands doing stuff. Let me know if you are interested and i could list you some great albums

Can't go wrong with Testament, and that's the best album too. The Persecuted Won't Forget is my fav song off the album, and prob one of my fav songs of all time.

Now for my daily contribution. We're going heavier today with some Technical Melodic Death Metal.
