What is your regional ''classic food''

I'm from Canada here and we got poutine. French fries, cheese curb and gravy. Quite tasty but not very healthy. It's very common in restaurants and also easy to make at home.

I loooooove Poutine!!

I currently live in Chicago.  The regional specialties here are deep dish pizza, italian beef sandwiches and Chicago style hotdogs (hotdog on a steamed poppy seed bun with hot peppers, relish, a dill pickle and mustard)

I am originally from New Orleans. EVERYTHING is about food there.  Gumbo, jambalaya, po'boys,  etouffe, boiled shellfish (crawfish, shrimp or crabs) and all kinds of other stuff.  It is also the birthplace of bananas foster and King Cake.

okay, now I am hungry

Texas, and beef brisket.  Sure, you can get it other places, but damn is it extra good here.

Planetary

Also from Canada, but out West its all about the beef.

Alberta AAA beef. So I will say a nice beef steak and a beer. ;)

Another Canadian livin in Vancouver here.

Sushi and Oyster! and of course, beer!
