I was always a big Husky person -as in a fan of the breed, not an actual big, husky guy lol. However, I have had a huge change of heart over the last year. My wife and I had our cat die at an early age of health problems a year ago today actually... Well, around my birthday in Feb. I arrived home from work to find a pitbull puppy hiding in my bushes. When I got out of my car he came trotting right up to me... He was nice and clean so I figured he had managed to get out of his owner's yard somewhere nearby... However, after I walked up and down the street with him for a while hoping his owner would realize he'd gone missing, the lady across the street from my house came out and informed me that she had seen a black truck pull up to my house earlier that morning when it was still dark outside, the driver opened the door and dropped the pup on the sidewalk in front of my house and the dog had hidden out in the bushes til I arrived. Needless to say, from that moment on he became mine... I took him to the vet to make certain there were no major health issues with him and they informed me he was roughly 10 weeks old and had been born around the time my cat had died... Most likely someone had gotten him as a Christmas present for the kids, decided he was too much work to keep around and just dumped him... Because of his color we named him Guinness and he has been with us for 10 months now and I have to say that he has completely changed my view of that breed. He has grown sooooo quickly too. He is an amazingly smart dog. A little goofy to be honest, but he has turned out to be absolutely one of the sweetest pets I have ever owned; he's amazing with my nieces and nephews as well. By having him I am completely convinced there is nothing wrong with this breed other than stupid owners who don't treat/handle them correctly. All of this longwinded talk to say... my favorite is a pitbull--- but I still love Huskies :P

This. I don't own a pitbull breed, but this statement is exactly what the problem happens to be. Stupid people that don't know how to raise a dog or any pet for that matter. It like the bad reputation that rottweilers got from the movie The Omen. For a long time they were considered "The Devil's Dog". Rotties are one of the sweetest breeds there are if raised correctly. Like I said that goes for any animal, proper handling and care will create a well behaved and lovable pet. I have several favorites: Rottweilers, Labradors, Dobermans, Huskies, Shepards, and Mutts.

I like Japaneese Akitas, Huskies, Colies, Shiba inu, German Sheps and the cute samoyed :D Samoyed, in russian, means someone or something that eats itself xD

I really like the big ones, I hate small ones. Samoyeds are really cute to me ^^ But I like German Shepherds too.

I would get a german shapperd or a huskey. My buddy had a siberian huskey and during the winter time it would sleep outside (sometimes in the snow). There was a cold spot behind a fridge he had that was cold where the dog would sleep any other time of the year. Plus, it had one gray eye and one green eye. Bad ass dog right there.

I have owned Pit Bulls for about 12 years. They truly are a breed that is misrepresented in the news. You only hear the negative. My dogs have been the most loyal dogs. They are very intelligent dogs. I do have to say, the ones I have owned seemed to always need to be stimulated, whether it be running or playing with them. They are full of energy. We used to ride dirt bikes with ours. He could go for hours. We would have to make him stop. they never give up. This is my baby Opel. WP_000308-1.gif This past April I got a German Shepherd puppy from my mom's dogs. She has had Shepherds on and off her whole life. I really didn't like how they shed so much. But she gave me a puppy, he has turned out to be one of the best dogs we have ever owned. He is playful, protective, knows how to use his off button ( come inside and lay down). He is super smart. He is nine month old now. He has really enlightened me to this breed. Here is Zumi.. WP_000207-1.jpg Had to put pics. They are my babies!
