Having to create an account just to play a free game, is an instant turn off for me. MapleStory on this weeks Steam Quests is really annoying, as it has this requirement. Alienware can do better by not selecting games that does this "personal data collection" practice.

@kovec - Doubtful. I think the Steam Quests are a form of advertising, so it's more about convincing your favorite game publisher to do business with Alienware.

@dreddric yep, does work on the sign in page. I think as long as you spot the "now playing" steam pop up on the lower right corner once, it started to count. Or just close the login thing after 15 mins, wait for a min, then check steam.
