A Game Vault Question

Interstellar
  • 4

I know the rule here is that you can only spend ARP for 1 game at a time.

However, once in a while, the vault will also have DLC. I don't remember if it counts against that count, but I think it does. Strictly, it's not a game, just DLC. Someone may argue about that.

So with that said, shouldn't there be clarification on exactly what the rule applies to, so it doesn't get confusing even for new users?

It's a little insufficient when the wording says " You can choose to claim one game each month..." when DLCs are included, as that is something else. Because if vault transacions actually apply to one item at a time, then "one game" itself is misleading. I would think there should be clarification to reflect that, given what's actually offered on the vault.

i think they should just give the games (or DLC for that matter) only with steam linking, not keys.

It's one item in the vault per month.  Even if its DLC you pick you can't pick anything else from the vault after that.

Yes, I mentioned that.

I always understood it as "one item" per month.  I suppose they could clarify the official rules, if they were so inclined, but given how few keys there are to go around and most months the vault is sold out in a matter of minutes anyway, it doesn't really seem necessary.  Anyone arguing about the wording and suggesting that they should be able to grab a game and any/all DLC on offer isn't going to get much sympathy or support from the community, most of whom will end up with nothing.
