Splatoon 3 Confirms 2022 Release; Includes All Basic Weapons from Previous Games
Nintendo has recently announced the release date for Splatoon 3, and also confirmed that all basic weapons from previous Splatoon games will be included.
WHEN IS SPLATOON 3 LAUNCHING?
Nintendo drops a new trailer which finally announces the release date of Splatoon 3. The game will be available starting September 9, 2022 on the Nintendo Switch.
The trailer also featured gameplay for its Turf War mode, plus we got to listen to its pumped-up soundtrack.
WHICH WEAPONS ARE COMING TO SPLATOON 3?
Splatoon 3’s full weapons list has not been confirmed at this time, however, Nintendo Europe revealed in its Twitter account that basic weapons from Splatoon and Splatoon 2 will be included.
Some of the weapons that will be returning include fan favorites Aerospray, and Splattershot Pro.
Splatoon North America also revealed three of the returning weapons: the Splattershot, Splattershot Jr., and the .96 Gal.
NAMEPLATES SPOTTED IN RELEASE DATE TRAILER
In addition to the game’s release date and Turf War gameplay, the Release Date Announcement Trailer also showcased a new feature in the game’s multiplayer — NAMEPLATES.
Nameplates are a common feature in PvP games, because it gives players’ characters in-game personality aside from other customization options like species.
The developers have not released any concrete details on how customization will work in Splatoon 3. We can expect to know more details about this as we get closer to the game’s release date.
