Samsung Gaming Hub, game streaming service

  • 2

Samsung is betting on cloud gaming in its new TVs, with a new service called Samsung Gaming Hub.

To launch this service within their TVs, the Korean brand has partnered with the main video game streaming services currently available: Google Stadia, NVIDIA's GeForce Now and Utomik, although they are leaving the door open for more to come in the future. The idea is that you can connect to your accounts on these services and play games from your TV without needing anything else.

This service will be available in almost all Samsung Smart TV models this 2022 and is expected to expand globally throughout the year.

Once this Hub arrives, all you're going to have to do to access it is go to the main navigation menu in the Game, Audiovisual and Lifestyle categories within the interface of your Smart TV. Here, you'll just have to click on the Gaming option, and then you'll go directly to the Samsung Gaming Hub home screen.

It seems that game streaming services are here to stay and will compete directly with home consoles to play games on TV. What do you think about this?

If only I owned a Tardis.....

The question would be - is this going to be a "free" service or subscription service?
