At least for now, gaming systems get little to no performance improvement from 16 GB to 32 GB, hardly justifiying the cost to buying 32 GB. As long as you have a good GPU, 16 GB might be ok for now and years to come, as game industry knows the majority of PC games is between entry-level and intermediate performance due hardware costs.


I built my new rig in December. Went for an i5 9600kf, and RTX 2080 Super and 32gb of RAM. To be honest, I coulda gone with 16gb and saved a few quid but my old PC which was 7 years old was running 16gb of RAM. And it seemed a bit daft for it to not have 32gb.
