What makes Doom Eternal so great?

Doom's reboot set the bar high. I know I wasn't the only one concerned that the follow up could disappoint. However, id Software clearly had no intention of letting us down. They've built something amazing that will definitely be a contender for Game of the Year during a year already delivering incredible titles. Now pardon me while I head back into Battlemode to find out all of the new ways to lose a match.
