MIBR DEFEAT NIP; MOVE ON TO PLAYOFFS AT IEM KATOWICE
The best-of-three series kicked off on Train, with the Swedish side starting on the T-side and securing the pistol round victory thanks to a triple kill by Fredrik "REZ" Sterner. Marcelo "coldzera" David responded in the following round with a Deagle triple kill as MIBR tied the game.
The Brazilian side's strong defense propelled them to a 7-2 lead. NiP picked up their third round with a force buy, with Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson and REZ combining to make it 7-3. MIBR finished the half 10-5 ahead after winning the last three rounds of the half.
Fernando "fer" Alvarenga consolidated MIBR's lead with an ace in the second pistol round and the Brazilians made it 13-5 after winning the first weapon round as NiP didn't have enough time for the defuse on the B-site. Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo & company won a 3vs3 in the 22nd round to close out the map with a 16-6 final scoreline.
fer and João "felps" Vasconcellos opened Inferno with double kills in the pistol round as the T-sided MIBR took the A-site. The Brazilians won three gun rounds to lead 6-0. NiP got on the scoreboard in the seventh round with a Banana shutdown. MIBR took three more rounds in the first half to lead 9-6 at halftime.
NiP picked up the first three rounds in the second half to tie the game and took the lead after Lekr0 and Patrik "f0rest"Lindberg's 2vs4 victory in the 19th round (10-9). However, MIBRcame back from 14-12 to win the map 16-14, with their final round victory coming after a 1vs1 clutch by FalleN on the B-site.
