'Mortal Kombat 11' Adds Jade to the Roster, Watch Her Gruesome Fatality in Action and See the Fans' Reaction to Her Reveal
Mortal Kombat 11 - Kombat Kast (Episode 2)
In the most recent Kombat Kast for February, the team over at NetherRealm Studios just confirmed yet another returning character and this time it's fan favorite Jade and her upgraded badass self.

One thing that was interesting to see is that Jade seems to use her staff more than ever before. Players that are familiar with this fighter are used to her being able to maneuver around the stage flawlessly, but her weapon use is definitely swapped up a bit in the newest title.
For those unfamiliar with the fighter, Jade made her first appearance in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and ever since then, she's become a reoccurring fan-favorite character. Her joining with the Earthrealm warriors in order to defeat Kahn was legendary, and her backstory is pretty wild, if a bit confusing.
Mortal Kombat 11 will arrive on April 23rd for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. According to the Steam's official listing, we've got a lot to look forward to:
"Mortal Kombat is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise. The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat's best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making."
'Mortal Kombat 11' Reveals Revenant Jade's Gruesome Fatality
Revenant Jade is here to add even more badassery to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster and not only has her look seen a significant upgrade in addition to her newfound appreciation for her staff, but her newly revealed fatality is as gruesome as it is awesome!

The first video seen above shows off a killer move that is as deadly as it is sassy, because that spin? Hilarious. Revenant Jade definitely has no qualms about showing other fighters who is boss and for that - we love her.

During the most recent Kombat Kast, some of the devs over at NetherRealm showed off different versions of the fighter and how that impacts her move set. Though they all seem to lean a little heavier on staff usage than she has been historically known for, she still showed a ton of strength and the ability to deal out massive amounts of damage.
In Jade's Envy set, her fatality was a brutal blade cut into an enemy's spin and then slashed all the way through. It was gory and it was perfect. Everything about her from the snippets of gameplay seen looks incredibly fluid, playing to her assassin's strength without making her mundane or overdone. From everything seen thus far, she looks like the perfect blend of what made us fall in love with the character and what makes her new and exciting, and that's making it infinitely harder to wait for that April release date.
'Mortal Kombat 11' Fans React to Revenant Jade's Big Reveal
Though there have been rumors for quite some time concerning Jade's arrival, the official reveal showing off her upgraded style was nothing short of exciting.

It wasn't just because she's a fan favorite, but the chosen style that made Jade's confirmation so special. Fans were stoked to see the rumors confirmed and Twitter couldn't get enough of her arrival:
Holy shit, revenant Jade didn’t see that coming.

One thing that makes Mortal Kombat 11 so exciting is two of the new arrivals: Geras and Kronika. Both have the ability to manipulate time, which means everything we thought we knew about the franchise could end up being totally turned on its head.
It's nice to see some her familiar moves make a comeback like her Shadow Kick, but the newfound reliance on her staff is an interesting twist. It's exciting to see her make the cut and with many more promised "Klassic" reveals on the way, it's hard to keep that hype train from going at full speed.
