I stumbled upon an eBay listing for the Alienware 34 Curved Gaming Monitor (AW3418DW) for $799.99 with free shipping on a Buy It Now deal. Dell is selling it for $1149 right now, so it appears to be a decent deal for those who have the cash (which ain't me, unfortunately).

I also see that Amazon has the slightly lower resolution version, known as the Alienware 34" Curved Gaming Monitor (AW3418HW vs AW3418DW) listed for $679.99 with free Prime shipping. Dell is currently listing this monitor at $949.99.

What's the difference between the HW and DW variants? The main difference appears to be in the native resolution: The DW variant comes in at 3440 x 1440 while the HW has a native resolution of 2560 x 1080.
