Shadow of the Tomb Raider will have a cooperative mode, in paid DLC

Crystal Dynamic released the first concrete details about the game Shadow of the Tomb Raider coming to us on September 14th of this year, and closes the Lara's trilogy of the development into the survival icon. The idea behind the "shadow" is linked to the apocalypse according to the Mayan prophecy that occurs when the moon shadows the sun. But the shadow theme will also take Lara to look at the consequences of her actions. While trying to save the world from the apocalypse, she will wonder if she really is a savior if her hands are bloody. No matter if we know in advance that the answer is affirmative, a little drama has not harmed anybody in life.

As for gameplay, Shadow of the Tomb Raider will follow the established concept of the previous two games as Lara will use the same arsenal of weapons and set of tools. The news is that this time we will have the largest "hub" in the Tomb Raider series that will not be intended for combat. As an example, there is a small Mexican town where Lara comes along with the escort of her friend Jonas during the celebration of the Day of the Dead. In these areas, Lara will be more detailed and able to learn more about the culture of the place she is exploring.

As for the approach in the fight, Lara will now be able to use additional techniques in hiding. For example, she will be able to camouflage into the jungle, meaning that the stealth will no longer be tied exclusively to hiding in the bushes and jumping over the rocks. Greater focus will be placed on swimming and diving, and entry into water this time will pose a risk for underwater predators.

UPDATE:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will have a cooperative mode, in paid DLC

Crystal Dynamics has shared a few more tiny details about the new Tomb Raider game, including details about the accompanying content that will follow after the release.

Yesterday, we learned the first details about the next adventure of Lara Croft, located primarily in Central America. Among other things, it was revealed to us how Lara would hide in the jungles and explore the ruins under water, and in the meantime we learned a few more details.

The game developers have said that Shadow of the Tomb Raider would make exploration of the tombs a frightening experience, much more challenging not only in terms of puzzles but also in the dangers that lurk in them.

Tombs will also be the main content of the expansion, that is Season Pass, which will bring seven missions to the same tomb, along with seven weapons, seven costumes and seven skills. In case you have not noticed, everything is in the number seven, except when it comes to price, as the game with Season Pass will cost 90 euros.

One of the interesting things to note is that the first tomb will also have the functionality of cooperative playing. But this is not a novelty for the series since something similar has already existed through Endurance mode in Rise of the Tomb Raider.

In the end, we have also learned that the PC version of the game will make a separate team, already tuned the Nixxes Software. Nixxes has already worked on the PC ports of Tomb Raider and the Deus Ex series, so we can say that there should be no surprises and a decent game optimization for PC is waiting for us.

Really good.  They need to make a full length cgi movie of the trailer.

Here I am, ready to play. Gaming enthusiast without free time to actually play video games but eager to learn anything

Tomb Raider Uncharted, the series are loosing their identity with every release.

Looks very interesting! I haven't played a Tomb Raider game since Play Station 1. I should probably go checkout Rise of the Tomb Raider.
