Days Gone for PS4 delayed to 2019

Sony Bend’s open-world action game set in a post-pandemic world, Days Gone, never had an officially announced release date, but it’s now confirmed that the game won’t make its way to PlayStation 4 until 2019.

Days Gone was certainly expected to hit sometime in 2018, but the game page on the PlayStation website was recently updated with a 2019 release window. We’ve reached out to Sony for comment on the game’s delay.

A Sony representative confirmed the delay in a statement to USgamer, but provided no further details or explanation for it.

Sony announced Days Gone in 2016 at that year’s E3. The game is set in the high desert of the Pacific Northwest and players will take on the role of Deacon St. John, a mercenary and motorcycle club officer fighting for survival amid a zombie pandemic. Our most recent look at the game came at E3 2017. Days Gone has been in development since early 2015.

Thank you for the very interesting news, I enjoyed reading it!

Good, it's better for them to take time to make it good instead of rushing and creating another bug-riddled game.

The news is bad, but I'll wait, because the main thing-the quality of the product!

Eh, I wouldn't even call it a delay when there wasn't an official release date before, only expectations. Better to get it properly finished first anyway, and 2019 isn't that far away (I'm old and always wondering how the time passes so quickly anyway ;))

Wish this came out for the PC because it looked pretty awesome.  Got that The Last of Us vibe.
