The Evil Within 2 can now be played from the first person

The Evil Within 2 is no longer a necessary third-person game. Namely, thanks to the free update that can now be downloaded, this horror title offers an option to experience its horror from the perspective of the first person. It does not mean that you play the game as a classic shooter, but encounters with different creatures may be more intense than before.

“A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game’s situations through Sebastian’s eyes, it’s a really neat experience,” said Tango Gameworks producer Shinsaku Ohara in a release. “I think exploring Union in first-person makes the scale feel even bigger than it does when you’re in third-person. Also, being able to see our environments and enemies up close allows players to get an even better look at how much effort went into their designs.”

Bethesda notes that The Evil Within 2’s free trial version will also include the new first-person view mode.

Owners of the PC version of The Evil Within 2 have had unofficial access to the game’s first-person mode since October, when players discovered the option was available as a console command.

It's always nice to have the option to choose your perspective.

Tbh I'd replay EW 1 rather than 2. Second game is great, but first one way better.

Still pretty human

The first part already reminded me too much of the last of us. I'll might give the series another chance.
