Assassin's Creed Origins sales are almost twice as strong as the predecessors

Since we've been blabbering in the period when gaming companies around the world report on their own financial success for the end of last year, we just waited for the day when the French publishing house Ubisoft will be announced. So in the third quarter of fiscal 2017/2018. Ubisoft earned 725 million euros - roughly 920 million dollars - surpassing the initial estimate of 630 and 700 million euros, with a profit of 36.8% over the previous year.

One of the main reasons for their success is the latest part of the Assassin's Creed franchise, which was sold in almost twice as many copies as its two years old Syndicate predecessor, and also highlighted that it was the third best-selling title in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. At least this is what Ubisoft claims.

In any case, Origins is not the only video game to overcome their expectations. Namely, the Tom Clancy brand attracted nearly 60 million people, and the number of The Division players doubled after the last update. It should be noted that PC gaming sales have increased by 11% over the past five years, and mobile gaming has experienced a growth of 75.6%, especially after contracting a partner relationship with Chinese technological divisor Tencent to launch several of Ketchapp's mobile games to Chinese market.

As for the future or the fourth quarter, Ubisoft expects a profit of 449 million euros versus the 648 million euros it earned last year. Namely, this difference is justified by the fact that more of their video games were released last year while Far Cry 5 and Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered are now being prepared.

Origins is a giant leap in terms of quality against the background of the syndicate and the unit.

For me it was a miss refunded after 1h 27 mins the only pros it had for me was the graphics.

It felt a beautiful empty world with a very clunky combat system and most of all did not really feel like an AC title.

The game probably also had twice the budget than most of their previous assassin's creed game and a huge amount of it was probably spent on marketing the game.

It's like how the new Star Wars made record breaking profit on the box office compared to its predecessors, yet it doesn't necessarily mean they were the better movies.

Assassin's Creed is really a good one in this series.

I'm not surprised.  The combat system improved.  The parkour is smoother.  The RPG skill trees are more meaningful than in any other game in the series.  And the environments are far larger and more aesthetically beautiful.

The only regression in terms of game development is that you can't develop your team of assassins, an element that has existed in some form since Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

Still pretty human

I only heard good things about this game. Previous parts where a disaster so it's good to see that the series is getting up again.
