Metro Exodus is bringing some changes to its post-apocalyptic world

Magazine Game Informer in its 299th issue brings the report about Metro Exodus, and we learned from it several interesting details about the game. Some changes we've suspected, but some will afterall surprise the fans of the series.

To begin with, it was confirmed that the game will begin in Metro, but will later be moved to the Russian wilderness, outside Moscow. The plot in Metro Exodus will take place over a period of one year. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the game will have side quests that can be undertaken on each level.

Levels will be far larger and more open than those in Metro Last Light. For comparison, the largest area in Last Light was approximately 111×200 meters, while in Exodus awaits us 2000×2000 meters. However, it is worth noting that we will not be able to return once we leave, which means that all quests will need to be completed linearly.

The biggest change that probably won't sit well for fans of the series will be in the currency of the game because ammo in Metro Exodus will no longer be a means of payment. Instead we will look for valuable items that we can combine into useful things, like in Fallout.

Enemies will be more numerous in Exodus than in previous games and will appear depending on climate and area. Fortunately, for them, we will also have a larger arsenal of weapons, from which those basic we'll be able to upgrade with five different accessories. There are also improvements in the battle itself and stealth mechanics, but this part is not affected with concrete changes.

Lol! That's a big change. How to forget the hours I spent looking for bullets to buy weapons.
