Total eight teams 19 January started the CS:GO competition that this year was held in Boston. Valve this year also was open handed then the reward fund of one million dollars was a huge motive for the best teams in the world.

Team Cloud9 could not started worse at this year's GS:GO ELEAGUE competition. The game in the group started with two consecutive defeats and they had to win the remaining three matches in order to qualify for further competition. To the great joy of the fans, that was exactly what they did with wins over Virtus.Pro, Astralis and Vega Squadron teams, with what they secured the quarterfinals.

After this kind of comeback in the quarterfinals was waiting for them the unbeaten G2 Esports, but they were not up to the task of free flowing Cloud9 team, which with 2:0 send them home. The semi-finals were very tense but SK Gaming after all falls with the result 2:1.

The Final honored us with the match between Faze Clan team, which throughout the competition did not lose a single map, then team Cloud9. Fans victory of Cloud9 over Faze Clan 2:1 followed with a loud ovations that will be remembered for a long time.

The next competition in CS:GO is scheduled for 27 February when in the Polish city of Katowice is playing Intel Grand Slam Season 1 in which will compete the world's top team for reward of 250 thousand dollars.

Wanted Faze to win because i like its members, however C9 deserved this more for a couple of reasons:

     - It's their home crowd.

     - No one in their life expected them to win, yet they beat g2 who was undefeated this whole major gaining 6 wins and 0 defeats, and they beat SK who was #1 ranked team in the world, and then they beat Faze who was #2 ranked team in the world.

     - C9 never won a major ever. This is literally the first time they ever won a major ever since CS GO tournaments were a thing.

Faze is already up there, they might be ranked the #1 team in the world if they continue like this. They were once an average team that could barely get into qualifiers, now with the new lineup, they are arguably one of the best cs go teams in the world, very often going 2nd and 1st places in tournaments, similar to SK.

C9 definitely deserved this, and i'm glad they won, even if they weren't my nr 1 pick to win it.

Also its not correct on the fact that Faze was did not lose a single map during the competition, maybe during the quarter finals and forward and that's not really an uncommon thing for a team to do that. They did however lose against Vega Squadron in the Challengers stage on inferno. G2 is the only team that did not lose a map in this whole competition until their defeat in the quarter finals with C9.

RockNRolla

Definitely one of the best matches in major history.

Gratz Cloud9.  Now I kinda know from what team I should be picking from for those CS:GO Fantasy Contest.

Congratulations, it was not expected from most people likely.

maybe like the above one said, new option to pick on next Fantasy contest?
