Revealed Far Cry 5 PC requirements, they're cheaper than trip to America
Although we from Far Cry 5 do not expect to move the boundaries in visual splendor, Far Cry games have traditionally been among the most demanding on PC. We were therefore anxiously looking forward to reveal of configuration requirements.
This happened today when Ubisoft decided to share a few details specifically about PC version of Far Cry 5. To begin with, Ubisoft promises that FC5 will have a fair PC version right after release, which means that specifics such as FOV Slider, Resolution Scaling and locks at 30 fps will have at the very start. What's more, like in other Ubisoft games, here we will find an embedded benchmark performance tracking tool.
And now, hardware requirements. Ubisoft divided them into four parts. If its to judge by this, they really put effort to make the game available also for six years old hardware, older even than current generation consoles. The requirements are as follows:
Minimum of minimum for 720p and low settings:
• CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 or AMD R9 270
• RAM: 8GB
Recommended for 1080p and 60fps:
• CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD R9 290X
• RAM: 8GB
Recommended for 4K resolution and 30fps:
• CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X @ 3.6 GHz
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX Vega 56
• RAM: 16GB
Recommended for 4K resolution and 60fps:
• CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.4 GHz
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI or AMD RX Vega 56 CFX
• RAM: 16GB
