FINAL FANTASY XIV second big patch 4.2 Rise of A New Sun is around the corner and will release the end of this month bringing us several new features, raid tiers and trials.
New Features:
Main Scenario Quests:
Thanks to the Warrior of Light’s heroic deeds and Raubahn's long-awaited return, Ala Mhigo continues its steady march towards recovery. Yet there is no rest for the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, for the winds of trouble are blowing from the Far East, where an unexpected spark threatens to set the kindling of chaos ablaze. Can Doma survive the brewing firestorm to welcome the light of the new day?
4.1 left us with a lot of questions and a huge cliff-hanger. In the trailer we see Yotsuyu struggling with her identity and new and old Gralean faces. It is safe to say that some of our questions will be answered.
New Raid: Omega: Sigmascape
Everyone who cleared the current Deltascape can now look forward to the next raid tier unlocking with 4.2. Great news for Free Company’s: Savage will be unlocked instantly with the normal tiers, so you can start raiding as soon as you finish your quest!
Kefka is probably hoarding that good iLvL375 gear from you, so bring your favourite FC members to join his mad dance!
New Trial: The Jade Stoa
A new Side Quest chain will be available, including a brand-new and more difficult trial than both Susano-o and Lakshmi! Get ready to farm that beautiful new tiger mount!
New Dungeons:
Two new dungeons are waiting to be explored by brave the Warriors of Light!
Hell's Lid:
A volcanic island full of profitable ventures for the Scions of the Dawn, who need more than a few coins to continue their adventure. Ancient legends say the island is host to the mythical onis.
The Fractal Continuum (Hard):
The Fractal Continuum opens the door once again for it's hard mode for adventurers seeking a little bit more of a thrill while exploring the ancient Allagan museum.
The Feast (PVP):
The Crystal Tower Training Grounds are added to the PVP maps. Modelled after the once shining Crystal Tower, the wolfs are gathering for the Feast with new Team Systems and new Rules!
Beast Tribe Quests:
Our scaly new friends, the Vira - a clan of Anata, is now available as a beast tribe to earn reputation and new rewards and even a mount from!
The Glamour Dresser and New Housing Items:
Finally, every fashionable Eorzean can store and glamour sets they collected without dumping their poor retainer full of dresses and shirts. Glamour plates will make changing and dyeing sets even easier. New housing items will also be available, including new lamps, garden items and benches!
Additionally, we get a new weekly fashion minigame in the Gold Saucer to earn us MGP with fashion, new mounts, Subaquatic Voyages and a big change to the BRD Performance Action - including new instruments and UI changes!
