Fortnite Battle Royale is getting a major update next week aimed at making the map a more diverse, interesting place to explore, with new points of interest and more defined biomes. Epic lead systems designer Eric Williamson ran down what’s coming in the latest dev update video.

Pretty smart (or lucky) of Epic to turn Fortnite into a success by chasing the PUBG market. I suspect the last man standing genre is going to follow the same example as the DOTA genre. One or two major successes with a few "doing okay" and the rest being ignored.
