Get to know Logitech G PowerPlay - an innovative mouse pad that gives you wireless charging of mouse

Logitech has some of the best wireless gaming mice in the world, and now they have the world's first mat that mice like that can wireless charge, so you can forget about the (first world) problem of charging batteries on the mouse. Its called Logitech G PowerPlay, is quite expensive (logitechg.com) and is compatible with mice Logitech G703 and G903.

Price is peppery, but you have to keep in mind that this is an innovative product of the highest class which is also the first of its kind. Literally doesn't exist any other mouse pad that can wireless charge battery of your mouse while working, while you move your mouse around mouse pad.

This is not the typical wireless charging technology we see in the sphere of smartphones but Logitech has specially developed it for this application. Charging takes place on each piece of mouse pad so you do not have to carefully and accurately deposit the mouse on a special place on the mouse pad in order to charge the battery. Actually, you do not have to think about anything - the whole thing simple works while you move your mouse around or while is just resting on a mat.

BUT HOW DOES IT WORK?

Logitech G PowerPlay mat has two layers - first we can call the base that uses the principle of electromagnetic resonance in the area above itself generating an energy field that then excites the electrical energy in the so-called PowerCore module. This PowerCore module is by size and shape of a coin, and magnetically is attached to a special slot in compatible Logitech mice.

Then you just have to choose second, surface layer that is placed over the base and on which your mouse will actually skate. In package with G PowerPlay mat you get two options for this surface layer - it can be hard or cloth, whatever you prefer.

In order for all this to work, mouse pad must be connected to the computer via USB. On top of mouse pad there is a small rubberized module with a suitably illuminated Logitech G logo where connects USB cable. Apart from allowing battery charging, this module also features a wireless receiver that communicates with the mouse, an ideal solution for consistent wireless mouse performance without any interference, since the distance between the receiver and the mouse is always minimal.

If you are already the owner of one of the two wireless mice that supports this mat- Logitech G703 or G903, this mat is a great, although pretty expensive addition. You can buy it on the official site, by clicking here.

Though the mouse pad itself has to be connected by a USB cable, still one can use wireless mouse with no worry to change the battery... It sure is an astonishing news, though I have a wired one.

Really good news. It was very frustrating when in an online game at an important moment you had problems with charging your mouse due to the fact that you forgot to change the battery.

This is really cool if you like wireless stuff but I prefer wired keyboard and mouse.

Меня моя bloody полностью устраивает. К тому же, беспроводная, не может соревноваться по отклику с проводной.
