There's a new Portal game...but it's a bridge-building sim

Headup Games has announced Bridge Constructor Portal, a Portal-themed version of the ClockStone-developed bridge construction games. It will launch for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android on December 20, 2017, folowed by PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch in early 2018.

Here’s an overview of the game, via Headup Games:

“Hello and welcome back to the Aperture Science computer-aided enrichment center.”

We welcome all lucky applicants to Bridge Constructor Portal with our new vehicle-based test chambers, Quantum Tunnels and patented Aperture technology!

For the last year we’ve been secretly working in our underground labs on the next iteration of the million-selling Bridge Constructor series. This new stand-alone title will release on PC, MacOS, Linux, mobile devices, and console, and fully embraces the Portal license, one of the most beloved video game franchises of the last decade.

Bridge Constructor Portal will blend the laws of structural engineering and technology straight from Aperture Laboratories into an exciting new game experience, all under the demanding gaze of GLaDOS.

“If you’ve been paying attention the solution should be obvious. As the case may be… good luck!”

It's not about having what you want but wanting what you have...

Why not, but I think they are just building on the "Portal" name and that's it...

Sweet! I loved the original Bridge Constructor. I got every achievement, but then they added trains and had to redo every level to get the new achievements rofl

Ugh. A mobile game getting an all platform release, then? Those are... not usually that good on PC.

Gaming God

Yeah they usually aren't great ports but in this case i don't mind anything that includes Portals.

Gentleman, The King!

I'm a bridge builder in Rust. Now two of my favourite games collab :)

You got me excited there for a second until I saw that it's not by Valve. Headup already released a ton of these bridge-building simulators already. I guess there's now another. It will be on mobile so that's good if you like on the go gaming and Portal. This game works well on touchscreens.
