Solar

After watching the video, it didn't feel like that's what it was meaning, so I looked it up and per Ars Technica (https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/12/somas-new-safe-mode-takes-the-survival-out-of-survival-horror/)

In Safe Mode, players will no longer have to sneak past enemies stealthily, but "monsters might sound and act more threatening if they spot you, so there is still an incentive to being careful." Players will now be able to explore without a "fear of failure," Frictional write, and see the game's environments without risk.

So, it's still got the scare factor in there, but you just can't die. Interesting video and game looks pretty cool, regardless of the manner of play.

Thank you for that. I didn't get what was about safe mode. But your comment made it clear.

So, it's open for those who don't like horror games. (though I wouldn't play in such a mode) Enjoy!

Danmaku

I am a little disappointed.

The aim of the game is to get scared.

So why playing without scare parts?

Where is the fun?

Here I am, ready to play. Gaming enthusiast without free time to actually play video games but eager to learn anything

Hmmm interesting read there, the changes are not so deep as to change the purpose of the game.
