Plants vs Zombies Creator Fired by EA for Refusing Pay-to-Win System

  • 13

George Fan, the original creator of Plans vs Zombies , was fired from EA years before the launch of his game's sequel to disagree with the company about making it pay-to-win.

The story of Fan was recently released by a friend of his, Edmund McMillen, the mind behind Super Meat Boy. While participating in an American podcast , McMillen said that George was the director of a small studio called PopCap, which became most famous later, when he created Plants vs. Zombies.
