Battlefield 1 got competition, WW1 game Tannenberg is out

Battlefield 1 definitely has its charms, but it's not hard to conclude that there is not much connection with the authentic war in the First World War. Fortunately, PC players now have another alternative to that game, and it is called Tannenberg.

It is a stand-alone expansion for the well-received WW1 title Verdun. Tannenberg is focused on eastern front of World War I, and in Early Access is available from today. Unlike Battlefield, here you will not see jumping on planes and all kind of circus things. Tannenberg is deliberately slow and is dying relatively fast in it.

The star of this game is surely the new Maneuver mode that takes place on a huge 64-player map, with support from AI bots. Piece of that atmosphere in such battles can be seen in the bottom trailer.

Tannenberg about content has already been completed, and during beta testing to it will be changed only the interface and balance settings. The game should be ready in full release early in 2018.

Tannenberg is fantastic, don't sleep on it! Verdun fans are also gonna like it a lot!

The Don Killuminati

Looks interesting. Sometimes I get tired of all the people running automatics in BF1. Might give this a try for a more authentic experience.

Existential

Noting like a little competition to make things better for us here at the consumer level.

Seems to be the better Battlefield, I don't know, but I keep it in sight. :)

The trailer looks promising.

I'm really happy to see so much focus on WWI. It's pretty under-represented in gaming, despite being so interesting.
