Announced This Is My Land, a western game for PC
Whenever a Western theme appears, it's inevitable that to the players on the PC we rub some salt on the wound because of the omission of Rockstar's upcoming hit from that platform. However, other game makers are putting an effort to jump in on titles of similar "cowboy" theme. One of these titles is MMO Wild West Online, and these days was announced single-player open-air adventure called This Is My Land.
This game will be different from most western titles because we will not play the role of a cowboy, but an "indian", or a native of the American West. Thus, the game will rely heavily on stealth mechanics, and the challenge of this model should contribute also the random generation of the world. The developer promises that any start of the game from the beginning will result in the cities being arranged differently, that the enemy patrols have different routes and similar.
This in the context of the stealth sounds like a genius idea or a recipe for disaster. But, the developer Game Labs is convinced that it can achieve this with a capable AI opponent that should treat us like an intelligent adult that knows how to outsmart artificial intelligence.
What from all this will be we'll see in the near future.
