I don't even know how long ago the Vault opened, but I just got my copy of Peak, which was the game I wanted anyway. Happy Holidays, everyone!
OK, so I got a key for System Shock from the community giveaway. Entered the key on Steam and... Just my luck.
What's the procedure here? I know I won't get my ARP back, but now I'll be blocked for not redeeming a key I cannot redeem.
EDIT: Just saw in the e-mail there's a place to report the issue on the giveaway page. If you enter a community giveaway, be aware that this can happen.
I still don't know how, but after 3 minutes waiting for the game vault to load, every game was still available, and I managed to get a copy of Doom: Dark Ages. I had almost no hope of getting it, but this month paid off. I was so surprised that I only believed it now after checking my rewards and redeeming the game.
I was 2 minutes late for the opening of the Game Vault and still got the game I wanted. I know many people are pissed that there are only GOG games in this Vault, but it was the smoothest experience ever, and I'll really enjoy my copy of Dino Crisis. Thanks, GOG, for the sponsorship. People, you must understand that complaining here about the Game Vault won't do anything. This whole thing only exists for marketing purposes. Dell pays iGames for a platform where people engage with the Alienware brand; they show that people are interacting here "for free", so they are paid. Want to show you are unhappy? Go to social media and tag Dell. Send an email or message on LinkedIn to their marketing director (Allison Dew), or do anything else besides complaining here. Have a nice day/night.
