I still don't understand the usefulness of getting a GTX 980 when you have a 980m in your laptop. The performance difference isn't nearly enough to make me want to spend the extra money getting the Graphics Amplifier AND the card. I would either go straight for something like the 980 ti or save a bit by getting the 970m or 965m in the laptop and 980 in the GA.
Yea, I think that they should have tried to test this on an older laptop or even better wait until the new 1080 drops in June and test it out with that. The difference isn't huge. Also, what's with the 4x instead of 16x pci slot? Guess I should have asked Umar about that on stream earlier.
