Not yet final PC requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War are released

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming out next month, but in two weeks the game will be tested on multiple platforms and like that on the PC. The developers of the game have released basic hardware requirements for the beta test for PC platform. Even though these are not the final hardware requirements, which means that for the full version of the game they can be changed to be more or less demanding, but major changes should not be just because of one reason -  these are very similar requirements just like for Modern Warfare from 2019.

In minimal requirements Cold War has jumped in the context of CPU so now it is required Core i5 instead of Core i3 (although, way older i5). The rest is more or less the same, with that 45 GB of free space only applies to the beta - the full version will be a lot bigger. As for the recommended requirements, here you will find a jump in the amount of RAM needed so now instead of 12 GB it is recommended 16 GB.

Here are the requirements for the COD: BLOPS CW beta on PC:

Minimum configuration:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K or AMD equivalent
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB / GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon HD 7950
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • HDD: 45 GB

Recommend configuration:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k or AMD equivalent
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / GTX 1660 Super 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580
  • RAM: 16 Gb
  • HDD: 45 GB

I want to play this, but man oh man does it eat up a lot of hard drive space. I have too many games as it is.
