AdventureQuest 3D devs fighting against hackers deleting characters

In a recent post on their official website, Adam Bohn, the founder of Artix Entertainment (better known to players by his online pseudonym, Artix Krieger) details the events of a recent hacker attack on their newest game, AQ3D, in which hackers could delete other players' characters while they were still playing!

The hackers managed to trick severs into accepting that the DDoS attackers were logging in into other players' accounts and would then trigger the character deletion. The good thing is that this deletion doesn't take place immediately, it instead adds the characters in question to a queue for permanent deletion, so all the characters wrongfully deleted have been restored without a problem.
