Do not worry, Activision will not destroy Sekiro, the new game from Dark Souls developers

Perhaps the biggest surprise in reveal of their next game of development team From Software was that the Japanese company partnered with publishing house Activision. This is unusual partnership because From Software has so far relied exclusively on Japanese publishing houses, and Activision's games are largely aimed at a wider circle of audiences. No matter how Dark Souls was successful, games of this type are still a kind of niche.

If it's to trust Hidetaka Miyazaki's statements, co-operation with Activision should not worry the fans of From Software's games. In the case of Sekiro, Activision will only serve as a gaming distributor for markets outside Japan and Asia.

"All decisions about game development are made by us. Activision respects the game that we are making, and that we desire to make, and offers play impressions as well as advice about what we could do to improve the game. As always, we ask that all decisions after the title screen be left to us, and we've been successful in collaborating under this framework," said Miyazaki.

Looks like it would be fun to try out. Interesting story, though hard to feel like there is a challenge when you are already starting out dead.
