Its true, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 no longer has singleplayer content but battle royale mode

In case that the multiplayer segment of Call of Duty games doesn't interested you, along with the Zombie campaign, in Black Ops IIII you won't get too much to play.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 today was revealed and displayed. Specifically, we can confirm that the rumors were true - the next Call of Duty for the first time after 15 years since there is this series will not have a singleplayer content or traditional story campaign.

How does Activision justify the absence of a campaign? Let's say the other rumors are accurate so Black Ops 4 will get its own battle royale mode called Blackout. In this mode, one hundred players will fight on one big map, and for the first time in CoD multiplayer history, they will be able to drive different vehicles and aircrafts.

Except with the new Blackout mode, Activision will the absence of singleplayer be compensating through Zombies that will include three campaigns, or three maps by release also for the first time in the series history.

Update: Activision and Treyarch are not afraid of disappointment for ditching campaign in Black Ops 4

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 developers have explained why they have given up on the traditional singleplayer campaign and how they plan to keep narrative elements.

The reactions of one part of fans for ditching singleplayer campaign from the new Call of Duty game were not very positive. Of course, in Activision and Treyarch, they have been preparing for this situation together, and through various statements they're trying to convince the players that they have not given up on the idea of story telling.

Specifically, it is not true that Black Ops 4 will not have a story, nor is it true that it will not have singleplayer content. However, these will be individual class backstories, something like the approaches that has Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege, while in solo missions, we'll find out more about backstory for specialists we're going to play with.

"It's going to give you backstory," added Bunting. "It's going to give you some worldbuilding setup of, why do these characters exist? Who do they work for? What kind of operations do they run on? Just giving players a sense of connectedness to the world they're engaging in for so long, and tell the stories of those characters we just barely touched on in Black Ops 3, and introduce some new ones in the process as well. That series of missions will also help you refine your skillset with each of those characters, so you can go into multiplayer and feel a sense of mastery."

If anything, it's good news that these missions will not be part of paid DLCs, or season pass. It has been confirmed that the classic multiplayer will not use the season pass model, which means that all additional maps, classes, etc. should come free of charge. However, this does not apply to Zombies mode where additional map will be charged extra.

Activision's Robert Kostich for Gamestop said the following:

"Look, it's not a dedicated campaign like it was in the past. We're telling stories differently this year. We think our community is going to love this game from end to end, because it has so much to offer. The core focus of it, I don't think that's going to be a problem really. I think what our community is going to love at the end of the day comes down to the gameplay and the fun you have with it."

Well they know where they can shove it.

Desde luego el atractivo del juego es el multijugador. Pero el modo historia esta bien para pillar soltura.

Se ve bueno, pero es cierto que el modo historia tambien hace falta

Interstellar

While everyone is all about Battle Royale now, and it is nice at times, if done well, to have. TBH I love single player mode in many games. Hell half the MMOs I've played I end up doing 75% solo and enjoy it. Sad to see single player go away.
