Iron Harvest had most successful Kickstarter campaign in almost a year

Videogame Iron Harvest is placed in an alternative version of the '20s of the 20th century created by Polish artist Jakub Różalski. His idea of world immediately after the First World War encompasses an unbreakable conflict between tradition and progress in the form of huge, walking and powerful machines that, after the Great War, became part of everyday life. However, post-war serenity will not take long since secret forces are working to destabilize Europe deliberately to take over power.

This real-time strategy for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, inspired by the Scythe board game, appeared on Kickstarter last month and managed within five weeks to raise 1,298,626 US dollars. This is how Iron Harvest became the most successful crowdfunding video game campaign on Kickstarter within 12, or 10 months. Namely, the previous achievement marks the Ashes of Creation title with 3.2 million dollars raised in the fifth month of 2017.

"It was a great risk to ask for such amount of money for the new IP on Kickstarter. But, we knew we had a strong product and a large RTS community that yearn for the next major RTS. So we took a chance and we can not be happier. That success is an obligation to make Iron Harvest the best game how much it can be", said creative director Jan Theysen.

Given that was finally collected 1.5 million dollars - the remainder of 230 thousand arrived from their website - Iron Harvest unlocked all the design goals that include New Game+ mode, cinematic cutscenes, challenging maps, Skirmish mod, co- op and multiplayer components and free DLC.
