Interstellar

I would have loved to see "Garry's Mod" as the winner.

It has an interesting concept with endless possibilities to express your creativity, and if you don't know it, you should definitely check it out!

Edit: My bad, I've totally overlooked that it has already won an award, lol. So go check it out if you are unaware of it. It's my personal favourite.

Garry's Mod did win.

If this was a sport's pool I would have done pretty poorly.  Only 5 of the 13 did I get "correct".

Garry's mod secured themself an award already though.

It's not like every voter literally played every nominee of every category to form a structured opinion about each game and vote accordingly between them.

Any type of polling that requires a public vote between a number of entries will always turn up as a popularity contest.

Meaning each winner was most likely the most popular in their respective category, and not necessarily the better made game regarding the category it represents.

How did CS:GO get that award? There were actually interesting games competing with it for the award, CS has been the same since 1999.

How else would Valve win an award?  If only new games were considered, Valve would never win.
