AMD's Vega cards are coming in two months

  • 26

Just as on the processor market for a long time it did not have a competitive product for Intel's solutions, AMD has for some time lacked a sophisticated solution in the field of high-end graphics cards through which are rulling Nvidia's models. This should be changed by introducing a new generation of cards on the so-called Vega architecture, but that Vega somehow doesn`t want to be launched. Some have hoped that we will see new AMD cards this spring, but that will not be the case.

However, company AMD at Computex has announced yesterday that it is not planning to launch Vega cards before the eighth of this year. The presentation at Computex served them as an announcement for announcement as well as a short presentation of the double RX Vega combination in which the recent Prey was selected for the benchmark. Considering that Prey is not a demanding game, the question is whether it is a real title for Vega card strength demonstration, even at 4K resolution.

On the other hand, AMD also throw fists with Intel which announced the Core X processor series yesterday. AMD replied with the Ryzen 9 1998X 16-core processor so we know where the future of hardware competition is. Now If only we get apps that benefit from so many cores...

Thank you for the news. After buying only AMD parts for the past ~10 years I'm going to build my next hardware based on Intel parts.

Hopefully the Vega cards will provide some increased competition, though as I own a G-SYNC monitor, I'm kind of limited to Nvidia cards for now anyway :)

Sounds good, but I think I'll stay with Nvida for the rest of my life
