The richest company in the gaming industry earned 3.9 billion dollars in three months

Who is the most powerful company in the world games? Is it Activision Blizzard with its Overwatch and Call of Duty? Microsoft with its Minecraft? Electronic Arts with its Fifa? Take-Two with GTA series? All of these companies together with the games do not earn as much as the Chinese giant Tencent earns, in which ownership is the League of Legends and Clash Royale.

However, according to a Chinese publisher's financial report, from PC and mobile games they have generated huge revenue of 3.9 billion dollars for the first quarter, that is in three months this year. This is 30% more than last year, and twice more than the record earnings of Activision Blizzard for the same period.

Earnings were evenly distributed so Tencent from the PC games (LoL, Fifa Online 3) earned two billion dollars, while from mobile games it earned 1.9 billion. But, it is worth noting that earnings on mobile phones jumped by 57% compared to last year, so we really wonder when other developers will get their hands on hard work and start making mobile games for the Chinese market.

That's really impressive... With that money, they should invest and develop a new League of Legends! At least an updated version with better graphics :D

Wow, a lot of games on mobile phones have a lot of earnings, but I never thought that we were speaking  about billions of dollars monthly.

Interstellar

That's a ridiculous amount of money, very impressive

It's a bit sad that more elaborated videogames can't compete with mobile games or pure online games.
