PSA: Get Alan Wake for $2.99 on PC now before the game gets removed indefinitely

  • 26

Quite recently, it was revealed that popular psychological horror game Alan Wake was being pulled from digital and physical retail stores due to music licensing issues. As a result, the developer of the title, Remedy Entertainment, announced that it would be offering Alan Wake, all associated DLC, and Alan Wake's American Nightmare 90% off as a part of its aptly-titled "Sunset Sale". This deal is now live.

It is important to note that despite the entire franchise being on sale from May 13 to May 15, the original Alan Wake is the only title being pulled from stores. This is because even though Remedy was able to successfully negotiate expiring music licensing deals for Alan Wake's American Nightmare, it was unable to do the same for Alan Wake. While Remedy is in the process of re-licensing the music deal, it has "no timeframe" for when the game might return. As a result, the game is being removed from digital stores including Steam, GOG, and Xbox Store, as well as physical retailers starting May 15.
