Tropico Games creators announced the colonization of the red planet in Surviving Mars

Building a city in extreme conditions is a new trend of city building genre. After Frostpunk, with this theme will also work Surviving Mars, a new strategy game from creators of Tropico (3-5) games. As the title suggests, the game will take place on Mars where players will aim to make a living colony pleasant.

Resources will be modest, the environment will be hostile, but with successful planning you will become the first mayor on Mars.

This is a significant departure from what Haemimont Studios worked in the previous years and the question is why did they accept such project. Paradox said they were encouraged by the success of Cities: Skylines, and as the game is sold in over a million copies, the goal of the city building genre is to offer more diverse experiences in the same genre.

Surviving Mars is announced for PC, PS4 and XBO and for now there is no scheduled release date.
