Far Cry 5 might rides in with cowboys and western themes

Local media from the US state of Montana reported that the movie crew recorded a feature trailer for the unmarked video game on the drylands reserve near place Poplar. Producer Jeff Guillot told them they are recording promotional material for the game that will be released in the ninth month of this year.

Interestingness moves when you take into account the details of the scenes, the church with the bell tower, the two men in the duel, train in the distance. Sounds like a western scene, right? We know Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out this year, but something in that story does not fit.

Namely, a trailer producer argues that the territory of the game will stretch over five thousand miles from California to Montana, which does not match the alleged RDR2 map, for which all rumors suggested that the game will take place in the south of America, the Texas and Louisiana.

The other thing is that Rockstar never had the habit of promoting their games through a live-action trailer. They did it only in the case of Table Tennis from 2007, while all of their other titles were made of material from the games themselves.

What kind of a mysterious western game is this then that will take us to the Nevada desert, arriving in the ninth month and part of the famous video game series? The traces point to Far Cry (5). Returning to the past is not strange to this series (it even came back to the early era), releasing in the ninth month would make sense because it would not coincide with the release of the new Assassin's Creed, and in the end - Western is mentioned as one of the options in surveys with which Ubisoft researched interest of the audience for the future of Far Cry.

In the end, two more things point to the fact that the next Far Cry could really be in the western environment - Ubisoft loves live-action trailer so much that almost every game has at least one. In addition, they have already worked with already said producer Jeff Guillot. And that five-thousand-mile territory - it sounds like a typical Ubisoft's open world.

Of course, it is quite possible that the new Call of Juarez series is going to happen, but we will soon know the truth because it seems to us that the controversial trailer has been prepared for the E3 show.

Eat Sleep Game

I love the Far Cry franchise. A western would be awesome.

Star Lord

Okay, it might take place in West Dessert! Yum yum! I think I'd like some whipped cream on my Wyoming!

Interstellar

Thanks for the additional details, I'm looking forward to seeing if this does indeed end up being Far Cry's new setting

An interesting idea for the setting.  Hopefully they can pull some cool gameplay aspects from this scenario.

What does this even mean?  There are no spelling mistakes in this article.
